Over the years, many folks have asked me “Just what is it you do?”. When I reply that I’m an advocate, I usually get a peculiar look and the question is usually repeated with an emphasis on the last word, “but what do you do?”.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines an Advocate as: A person who argues for a cause; supporter or defender.

So whether I’m earning a paycheck in the trades, childcare field, or human services, I am always an advocate. This website is dedicated to those “Causes” that I can always be found advocating for - whether in a paid position, or {as is usually the case} a volunteer.

From the Society of St. Vincent dePaul to Co-op America, and from children to politics, you’ll find articles, photos, and links to many wonderful causes on this site.

I hope you enjoy the site. Comments are always welcome, simply click on the ‘comments/contact’ page. Your information will not be shared or added to any list serve.
